HR Specialist is the job title. 
Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Hours of operation: business hours for U.S. customers (with some leeway for onboarding cycles, payroll timelines, and employee support needs) 

About the Position:

Our client is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to oversee essential HR procedures and guarantee efficient employee lifecycle management. This role involves recruitment support, onboarding, HRIS data management, compliance, payroll coordination, and employee relations.  

The HR Specialist ensures that the company remains in compliance with labor regulations, that records are accurate, and that employees are supported. Responsibilities: Support for Recruitment: Share job openings on job boards and career websites. Screen resumes and assist recruiters in scheduling interviews.
 
During the initial stages of hiring, communicate with candidates. Continuity of Service: Prepare orientation schedules, new hire packets, and offer letters. Ensure completion of compliance documentation (I-9, E-Verify, tax forms, direct deposit).
 Perform procedures for exit, such as equipment retrieval, removing system access, and interviewing exitees. Employee Records & HRIS:
 
Maintain accurate employee data in a HRIS (such as BambooHR, ADP, Gusto, or Zenefits) Keep tabs on PTO, benefits enrollment, and changes in employee status. Produce HR reports (on compliance, turnover, and headcount). Payroll & Benefits Support:

In order to reconcile hours, benefits, and deductions, work with the finance and payroll teams. Assist with benefits enrollment, open enrollment periods, and employee inquiries.
Validate payroll data before processing.

 Draft and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and SOPs.
 Ensure compliance with labor laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEOC) and multi-state regulations.
 Maintain audit-ready records for external evaluations. 
 Relations with employees: Serve as the employee's primary point of contact for inquiries   and concerns. 
 Encourage employee engagement programs and performance management processes. 
 Document sensitive issues and escalate them to HR leadership. 
 Training & Development Support:
 Coordinate employee training sessions and compliance certifications.
 Track completion of required training and development milestones.

Essential Skills and Experience (Minimum): 2+ years HR support or operations experience.
Proficiency with HRIS systems (BambooHR, ADP, Gusto, Zenefits, or similar).
familiarity with observing U.S. labor laws. proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. 

Ideal Experience & Skills:

Certifications in HR such as SHRM-CP or PHR Knowledge of international or multi-state payroll and compliance. Industry exposure in SaaS, professional services, or high-growth startups.
Process improvement or HRIS implementation experience.
What Kind of Day Is It Typically? An HR Specialist’s day revolves around supporting employees, maintaining compliance, and keeping HR operations smooth and accurate.
